The Place Where I Live

Ponce Inlet LighthouseFirst time we came to Ponce Inlet - a quaint small town surrounded by water of 3 sides - when we first time came to Florida in 1995. The market was terrible, the signs for sale were on every third home and we got the impression that people were simply trying to run away.

We could not figure how, but figured that if people were leaving, we better keep away. How darn wrong we were! Even in hte market as dramatically low as now those prices are long gone.

It took us nearly a decade to return to Ponce Inlet, this time to a condo in The Links. I can't say I live here, as this where I come in the evening, and the only time where I live here is Sunday, when we go the ocean and enjoy those long walk on the Beach.

There is now a way to watch the videos from Youtube in high definition, if you uploaded in high def. I tried that piece of code, but it did not work, so instead of embedding the youtube video, I am giving a link, as I managed to connect to high def this way.

And if you are thinking about moving here or just have a second home, a 2 bdr unit start from $215K, less than what we paid in 2004 for a similar unit.

Jon,

Incredible video!

I was going to ask if you did it, but then I think, I remembered. Is this one of your daughter's productions? It's great.

Wow... Jon... that's a great video.  The couple that I have done have been nowhere near that good.  Really, really nice job.

Bill - My daughter and my grandson made a couple of them for me, good ones, better than this one, but I cna't be t the mercy of my grandson, who is so incredibly busy between the school, swimming for the team, theatre, his piano, and now a band that he is putting together.

I bought a neat program (www.Photodex.com) called ProShowGold. It is a very nice prpgram, gives a bunch of options, and, if I am using it, easy, really easy to use.

I still have a lot of problems with my Vista, many programs crash in Vista, and this one is not an exception, but it crashes only some features, that I can easily survive without.

The real trick is that it now allows upload to Youtube in high definition. Takes forever, but since you get it there in high definition, and people choose " Watch high def" link in the right corner under the screen window, that' where the magic comes.

I have uploaded before in normal definition, and they were causing tears. You can't see faces, text is blurred, disaster.

I still have a problem embedding from Youtube in high def. I have the pieces of code for that, but I spent hourse and it did not work. So, I used the link to this Youtube vieo, that was uploaded in high definition, and I added &fmt=22 to the end of the link. This allows you to see in high definition. If you add &fmt=18, this would be good quality (but why go for good when you can go for the best?).

Jesse - at the risk of losing a competition to you (with your stunning photos it is not difficult), it is not me, it is the new option that gave me a chance to upload to Youtube in high definition. You can see it in the comment to Bill above.

If you want to play with it, and have questions, I will be more than happy to answer.
