So what is everyone doing for the holidays? I am interested in hearing about your family traditions! My assistant's family has a really unique and fun way to celebrate Christmas Eve that I thought I would share with everyone.
I should start by saying that my assistant is Italian and that Christmas Eve is a bigger celebration then Christmas...
Each year her family chooses a foreign country and the family researches the traditional clothing of that country along with beer and liquor imported to the US from that country. Some family members choose to dress up in the traditional clothing, and others bring different kinds of beer and liquor from that country for the family to try. The noght ends with Santa visitng the house bringing all the little kids presents. This party ends up being a ton of fun and the photos make for great family memories. This tradition has been going on for over 20 years! The most recent years were Japan, and Hungary and the country for this year is still up in the air!
