As I sit near the beautiful Christmas tree in my living room this morning, enjoying a hot cup of coffee and reflection, I was reminded that Christmas gives another gift to all of us each year. This is a gift that usually comes after Christmas. It's the gift of a fresh start - a new beginning - yes a new year! The week between Christmas and the New Year is great for balancing the books of our lives and making the necessary adjustments to help make the new year positive and upbeat.  In this crazy economy, we find ourselves in - we could easily be discouraged. Let's take some time to reflect on where we've been and where we're going. It's a different world, so life has to be lived differently in it. My attitude toward this new and challenging world is very important in determining how I will thrive.  So when you're taking down the lights and packing up the tree - reflect on the gift of a new beginning and dream big about where you could go with a whole new year. I want the GIFT of Christmas in my life and heart all year long and I as I close the books on this year - I especially need joy for the journey ahead.

Very well said Dwayne! I love this time, between Christmas and New Years. I really take advantage of the slow down to regroup, work on my business plan and recap the year past. Love your idea of this time as a "gift"
