The Holiday Senses

Do yourself a holiday favor this week and give your condo a scent make over that is geared toward the holidays that you celebrate.  Your sense of smell is one of the most powerful tools that helps to inform our general sense of well being.  Why not perform a little aromatherapy on your home?

Stop by your favorite nursery or florist and inquire about their aromatic greenery and flowers.  Or in a spray bottle you can mix essential oils with a cup of water, give your entry way a little spritz for lovely "scentual" experience.  I love a blend of sweet orange essential oil, cinnamon essential oil, clove essential oil and ginger essential oil.  Spray into the air and never directly on to any surfaces, fabrics or skin. 

For a simple and quick scent make over place a few cinnamon sticks and a handful of cloves in a warm oven (185 degrees) the smell of fresh baked cookies will permeate your home, without adding inches to your waist!
