Hi All,
Let me start by saying that I LOVE BEING A REALTOR! I know they say that some folks see the profession ranking somewhere between Snake Oil Salesman and Used Car Dealer. But, thus far I have seen none of that. I have never felt so wanted, needed or valued in all of my professional life.
Never before have I found myself drowning in the sea of bountiful riches that are the affiliate gifts. Pens shaped like houses that light up when you write (I lost that one to my hubby when he realized that if he used the pen to write out the dots and dashes that make up Morse code, he could flash his message with blue light while it was being written with blue ink), date books and street guides and key-chains and coffee mugs. Puzzles and chip clips and post-its and pads. More swag than I have seen in many a moon and I am a veritable Queen of Swag!
All this just for doing my job, not for doing my job well, or doing my job often, rather just for doing my job at all.
And let's talk about the general public, shall we? When I introduce myself as a Realtor I have seen them brighten a bit and ask the age old question: "How's the market?" Suddenly, for the first time in my adult life, I am being asked adult business questions, to which I know the answer (I feel like a grown-up!).
I am beginning to wonder why I never found this field sooner...
Take care all, help lots of people and have a wonderful day!

Hi Tisza,
Nice post. I just found a bag of schwag from NAR 2003 when I organizing the other week.
It's funny, the tech schwag is so popular in the Bay Area that a few developer friends of mine started a care package subscription service call ValleySchwag, but had to end it after the 6th round.
From their site:
"We thank you for your patience and loyalty. And we wish we could keep bringing you all the schwag your hearts desire, but alas, we’ve found that acquiring THAT MUCH SCHWAG is really really hard. But thanks to Valleyschwag and all of you we’ve been inspired to do our part in bringing better customer service to the world. Be watching in May for our beta release of Satisfaction [getsatisfaction.com] and check out our blog now at blog.getsatisfaction.com"
also, is it swag or schwag? i think it's a regional thing. kinda like soda & pop.
