Fantasy Football, AR Style!

I am a huge sports fan. Football is probably my favorite, followed closely by baseball and tennis. I am also a fan of Active Rain! When you combine the two, that is a winning combination. I was happy to discover in early fall that Active Rain had a fantasy football league. It was a well ran league with just the right amount of smack talk! Though I didn't participate in the verbal sparring, I did get a kick out of reading some of the comments.

There were a total of 14 teams in this league and it seemed that most people were fairly involved. You didn't get many instances of league participants leaving as active, players who were on IR or Out as you will sometimes encounter. This was the first time that I actually participated in a live draft which was pretty cool and I think I will do that in the future. I want to say thank you to everyone who participated and made this an enjoyable league.

Special note should go out to Kara who lead the league most of the season, of course I corrected that issue in the finals as she went down 91-57. I look forward to playing again next year.

Hey Rich, lol - it was an awesome season, till the last week anyway, lol. Hey, I'm proud of my team regardless. I'm coming after that title next year so enjoy it while it lasts, lol. You kicked my butt that's for sure. Merry Christmas :)

Rich, I lived in the cellar all year. But it is funny that in my Yahoo league I managed to make it to the playoffs. You just never know.

Kara - It was a lot of fun! I look forward to watching (and hopefully thwarting) your attempts next year as well. Hope you had a great Christmas.

Danny - I hope you have better luck if you play in the AR league next year. Congrats on your Yahoo league though.

This is one of my New Year's Resolutions....to get into Fantasy Football....I don't completely get it...but I have some time to learn!

Karen - It is a lot of fun, so if you like football, you will like this. There are fantasy leagues for almost every sport basketball, baseball, etc.
