Got Poinsettia??

Here are a few pictures from one of my favorite haunts of Christmas and the holidays in general...Carlson's of White Plains. It's been a tough year all around for everyone. So....I thought some of these photos would put everyone in the holiday mood - so without further ado - I'm posting them here.

You can visit Carlson's any time of year - they have wonderful displays for all seasons.

It's high end - but well worth the price. Anything I've ever gotten there has done well including plants that I planted in my yard. They were wonderful about telling me what will work where and in what light. I still have a pot of cyclamins from 5 years ago that bloom regularly.

Hi Terrie - Poinsettia's are my favorite holiday plant. The place was just bursting with them.

Hi Bruce - its also a great place for closing gifts for the yard.

Ruthmarie, you have such an eye for photography, these are beautiful. The poinsettia's are very cheery, Carlson's looks like a great shop. Let's hope 2009 brings us all some good news.

Hi Debbie - Let's hope things go well in 2009! As for the photography - I couldn't MISS with a display like that. Taking good photos in a store like that is like shooting fish in a barrel! I have been working on my photography and am starting to read more about the art of photography - but I am still a rank amatuer. I have a professional photographer as my client...trust me - nothing I do comes close.

Hi Kate...thanks for stopping by. They have so much variation in that store and yet it all works and ties together. Nancy Carlson is a master of marketing her wares.
