Kimberly, Great Pictures and Staging. You took the home from cold, unemotional and confusing to warm , inviting and emotionally connecting.
Huge difference!
Another good example of the "lifestyle" emotions that can come from staging (merchanding as keep trying to call it)
I can attest from having Kimberly check out my own product ... Kimberly knows her stuff.
Leslie and Maureen - Thanks, ladies!
Steve- Thanks so much for the positive words! I headed over to David's post and gave him a good, lengthy comment.
Nice job Kimberly! I noticed, no window treatments. Personally I dont like curtains so often leave the windeows alone. Sometimes the view outside is THE focal point, so why gunk it up. Thanks for sharing.
Terry Haugen - STAGE it RIGHT!
Great transformation - from cold to warm. Terry - I too leave the windows alone in most of the vacant homes I do.
Kimberly - I'd love some new and fresh ideas for headboards so I'll join you.
Kathy
Terry- I try to stay away from window treatments - especially in a builder's model. They just spent a lot of money on woodwork, they should show it off.
Kathy- Thanks! I usually come up with my best stuff under pressure, but I sure would love to see some great headboard ideas in advance - like the towels. It sure would save me a lot of stress. I am especially lost when it comes to little boys rooms.
I'm with you about never using a real headboard - it's just too easy to find something interesting to stand in for one, such as a curtain hung on the wall or just a group of pictures as a suggestion of one or even a Soji (sp?) screen turned sideways and mounted as a headboard. But, I too would love to hear more on those flowers of yours!
Patricia- I posted a member's only blog called the "Flower Headboard". I would link to it, but my internet connection is glitchy today and I could lose the whole comment. It should be easy enough to find. Thanks for all the ideas! I have used badminton rackets, kites, tea towels and wrought iron wall hangings. I 'd love to see more...
