With unemployment at an all time high here in Elkhart Indiana, many home owners are asking for help-they cannot pay their mortgages. It is not that they don't want to pay, their unemployment will only go so far and jobs are hard to come by. Some of the folks I have talked to are already out of fuel for heating and cookiing and the propane company will not deliver less than a fill-up at a cost of just under $600. That means no cooking on the stove and no hot water too. These folks need help and they need it now. Fortunately for them they have a woodburning fireplace and enough wood to last for about another month.
