I'm Dreaming of an Eco-Friendly Christmas, how about you?
We are all concerned about our environment and will try to make the best choices within our knowledge or availability of product. I have listed some great Eco-friendly holiday Decor for your Holiday Entertaining you are going to love!
1. Forever Lights, these gems are a most have during our holiday season. "Forever Lights" can be used in various applications; Tree Lights that Don't Die on you in just one season! These lights are not only "Eco-friendly by using almost 80% less electricity then other incandescent lights they last for about 200,000 hours with LED bulbs. "Energy Efficient, Gorgeous and will luminate your tree up to 20 years even if one bulb burns out the rest will keep shining. Just think who often you've purchased other standard lights with the potential toxic emissions and they've ended up in a landfill somewhere. Just think you’re helping the environment by buying responsibly.
2. New vs. Oh my....I didn't know Green could be so lovely! Don't through away your old light bulbs. We want to remember our 3R's Reduce, Reuse and Recycle add a little sparkle and its fabulous tree ornaments for pennies! Take your burned out old light bulbs and give them a lovely new look by painting, beading, dipping or another other creative idea's you can come up with! Great family project for the holidays!
3. Gift Tags, Using recycled paper hand-made sure to be a favourite for most of us. Again, a great family project have the kids paint, draw pictures of there favourite thing about the important person they are wrapping the present for. Another Gift Tag idea is tags that grow! This is the ultimate in green paint-able holiday gift tags made of 100% recycled materials and each tag contains seeds which can be planted and will bloom into pretty blossoms! It's a most try!
4. Mosaics! When cleaning out your cupboards for the holiday season, you start to collect mismatched dishes. Remember those that could really use them at a local soup kitchen, church assistance program, or various shelters. You can also visit your local consignment store, eBay, estate sales or yard sales to collect unique holiday dishware that can be re-purposed or made into a mosaic table or project to just calling for your personal touch!
5. Thinking Green during the holidays, try using bio-bags for your general garage and clear bio-bags for all your recyclable gift wrap paper. Our environment thanks you for your conciseness.
