Since it's such a great time to buy, thought it might be helpful to reminder buyers what NOT to do once you've applied for your loan.

1) Get that paperwork in the lender ASAP - don't dely

2) Don't touch the money you've set aside to cover your settlement costs

3) Don't check your credit online or get a new credit card - you'll get dinged!

4) Do NOT miss any payments on your car loan or credit card debt

5) Stay employed

6) Lay low on major purchases - as tempting as it maybe to get that new HDTV system, hold off til AFTER you settle on your new house

7) Don't open a Swiss bank account or change banks or make any large deposits.

 

GET THE LOAN - CLOSE ON THE HOME!
