I've been thinking about TIME so much lately!

Time must be the most convenient invention of the human mind - sometimes it's even a tool for getting to a Holiday Party just about when everyone else does. (I'm smiling.)

Our holiday gathering this year will find us with high hopes and aspirations. Despite a challenging economy there is much positive news to share. Maybe it is just time for GREEN and our Green Buyers' Brokers here in Asheville.

Headline: Asheville's Real Estate Weekly " Green Building Growing Despite Tight Housing Market."

That's good timing, eh?

As Asheville's GREEN Buyers' Brokers we all applaud that! But I am wondering if 2009 will bring the expected "Green Revolution" and a surge in green buildingnot only here in Asheville, but across the country. Only time will tell. But that's my wish for all of us this year and into the many to come. (Part II follows)

Hi janeAnne - I suspect we'll all see a surge in lots of things 'green'. I've really begun noticing far more 'green' things in my area than ever before. Shops that cater to all things 'green', a few buildings tooting their 'green' construction techniques, etc.

JaneAnne..... I think we will see a surge just as Ann said... but not because it's better for the world, but because it could save them money. With a poor economy, more will look into this. And I should be pushing it more also, when it comes to mortgages. Sure, it will help the land around us, but it can also save money. Sounds like a win/win, right? Besides, I am starting to see more green products, as in little things.. paper, bottles, and other small products. Happy Holidays

I just joined Activerain and I am impressed as too how many realtors are on and sharing ideas and experiences.

I am a Green realtor and am also a Green Building Consultant. My business is slow but I have high hopes and am determined to open the eyes of my community to green techniques and products.

I am involved with home interiors such as recycled glass countertops and also alternative energy including solar and wind to name a few. My contractor list is growing and I am getting more well known each week. I wish to combine my green concepts into my real estate business by educating my customers on green products that they can use in their homes.
