Interesting.
I believe that we need to be respected, admired and appreciated by our clients.
We are usually thought of kindly by our friends.
We are usually truly loved by our family.
Words are so complicated. It all depends on your perspective.
One thing for sure, one size doesn't fit all.
Every client I work with is different to the last and will be different to the next. That's the beauty of it.
It's always good to try and communicate in the way that is comfortable for the client. This goes beyond the pure meaning of words and phrases and even beyond the cultural niceties of shaking or not shaking hands. Some people are visual, some more auditory, using the language of their preferred method of "learning" or receiving information: "I see what you mean", "I hear what your saying." can go a long way as well.
