Ok, I am a day late on this post, but, yesterday was Christmas and I spent the day with my wife and her sister, who came over for the day, not blogging. But, that is not what I am thankful for.
My wife is a hard person to buy gifts for and quite often our tastes, well, let's just say they vary. So, this year she wanted some new perfume for Christmas, however, she did't know what brand, had not sample any. She suggested that I asked her sister. Of course, her sister had no idea.
Now, I have bought my wife perfume twice, once she like it and the other, well, let's just say that while I thought it was great, she had a different opinion. (Don't get me wrong, she appreciates my gifts even if she ends up returning them).
So, with great trepidation I went out and decided to try this again. I went from shop to shop sniffing different scents until I was dizzy from all the alchohol in the air and thought that my noze was destroyed forever. I finally settled on one of the first colognes that I sniffed, going back to the store where I started.
Now, what happens, two days later my wife comes back with a sample card and says that she really like this one. Much to my surprise, and deep relief, it was the exact brand that I had bought for her. Yeah, mental high fives, grunts, head buts and fist pumps going on in my brain while trying to maintain a poker face.
So, why am I thankful for this? After almost 7 years together we are getting a little more in tune with each other and because of that, I nailed this gift. I am also thankful that when I told her that I bought it two day before she showed me the sample card she didn;t have any doubts and it made her even happier. I am thankful for a very merry Christmas.
What was the perfume? Well, it was this:
