O'Fallon MO The Bald Eagles are Back in the Area...
I have always been fascinated by the bald eagle and for the past fifteen years I have been able to see them every year when they return to our area. There are several areas that we can go to and one of them is just a short drive from O Fallon MO up Hwy. 79 along the Missouri River to the small town of Clarksville MO. There you can view them nesting in the trees along the Missouri River and fishing all day long. They are such a sight to see and if you have never seen them this is a great time to take a day trip to Clarksville MO and check them out. They are a beautiful sight to see and by the way don't forget to bring your camera to capture the moment.

I think that they are such a beautiful bird and they can teach us some great lessons. Oh well that may be another post. Have a great weekend my friend.
Hi Don- I believe when we were traveling in our MotorHome, we were in your area when the Bald Eagles were there....I seem to remember a river where they were feeding.....I'll have to ask John (hubby) he kept a log while we were on the road and it might have been notated. Did you know we also have Bald Eagles in Florida....yep...we sure do, and I have a few pictures. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and are looking forward to the New Year :-)
I would love to see your bald eagle pictures. Let me know if your were in this area when you were doing the Motor Home thing.
I did have a nice Christmas and now I am ready for 2009. Just a few things left undone but I am stioo ready.
I hope the you have a wonderful christmas ma'am and I am sure that you have all of your loose ends tied up already and are just waiting with baited breath for 2009. ;-)
Hi Don, thanks for the great pictures, they truly are a magnificent bird! One of my neighbors was so excited about the Eagles she saw one summer day- I didn't have the heart to tell her they were turkey vultures!! LOL Happy New Year!
