I've lived on the Cape all my life. Well, I did go away to Stonehill College in Easton, Ma and after graduation I lived in Brighton for a while till I married and we moved to the Cape. I love it. I've always loved it. I love the smell of the salt water and watching boats go through the Cape Cod Canal. I enjoy watching the train bridge lower across the water to allow a train to cross it. I like the beaches and the people and the restaurants and houses and everything. Except maybe sitting in traffic. But recently I began listening to books on CD in my car so now I don't even mind sitting in traffic if I am in the middle of 'reading' a good book. I'd be happy to show you things I like about Cape Cod if you are ever down this way. Happy New Year!
Colleen, I love the Cape....I spent many summers there with my children in P Town and Wellfleet....there's no other place like it!
Smiling recollecting great times spent on the Cape! Love the picture...makes me long for summer!!!
Thanks for the comments. I love knowing someone is looking at my blogs. I took this picture this past Summer 2008 at the Chartroom in Cataumet. If you've never been, it's a fun place for food or just drinks. Chairs outside looking at the water and marina. Sometimes a singer at the piano inside. Very Capey!
I couldn't agree with you more! I think the Cape is a wonderful place to live, grow up, and retire. I also love the Chart Room!
Ted
Thanks Ted. Nothing like a mudslide on a hot summer day outside at the Chartroom. Happy New Year.
