Why I Re-Blog-A Simple Lesson on Localism Posts

By

I'll admit it.  I'm a re-blogger.  Someone recently asked me why.  The answer is  fairly simple.  Since my role in real estate is all about referrals the best way to bring in more business to the agents who have been successful with my referrals is to support their blogging efforts.

I could spend my time writing articles about the communities around where I live or let those who I see as experts in the area take the lead. A good localism post is a must!  I have been able to send links to posts about communities as an introduction not only to the community but to the referral agent I have suggested.   How easy is that.  No more big bulky packages to mail out.

As we head into 2009 my phone is ringing ore from the companies I network with.  A number of companies are changing their referral policies and it could be harder to pass on leads without it costing an arm and a leg.  I've never been one to want to "take to much off the top" as though the lead might have originally come through my efforts the agent who spends days or weeks working with a relocating family deserves most of the commission.

So there you have the re-blogging rationale.  I'll be re-blogging more agents in 2009 who have been great referral agents.

Happy New Year and success to all of you in 2009!

John you are right.  In my current role finding the right agent for our company clients is important and I will do what I can to support their blogging efforts when I can.

Hi, Pat! I love to refer clients to other agents outside my market, but I never thought of reblogging on Localism as a tool for that.

Thanks for the post!

When I see the Re-Blog flag it is grayed out. Is this something you have to pay for with AR or did I miss something?
