Happy New Year Kathy Nielsen and the Staging "Before" & "After" Pictures group!

Here is my favorite in 2008! The funny thing is, I just finished this project the week before Christmas and it has been one of my favorite transformations ever.  I'll be posting more and the video this coming week.  But, in the spirit of Kathy's request . . . here is my favorite staging transformation from 2008!

Karen ~ And what a transformation it is!  Removing the blue carpet went a long way in enhancing that room!

Karen ~ Wow -- that room went from boring with no energy to amazing!  The new carpet, the chairs, the palm tree, and moving the grand piano out a bit made such a difference ... and the photo angle makes the online listing photo so much more dramatic and interesting.  Great transformation!

Hi Karen, you really pulled off a jaw dropping transformation here. The blue rug had to go! Now the listing photo will grab the attention of buyers on the net. It gives them something that they likely won't see in another listing making it onto their "must see list". Great work creating a lifestyle marketing vision. You created an image that will likely intiate a buyer to book a viewing and make an offer.

yep, Kathy P., the blue had to go.  It is still in a couple of bedrooms but this stone fireplace just couldn't work with the blue!

Thx Maureen!  the before photo is the photo from MLS previously.  You can't tell from my after shot, but they also moved out the large entertainment piece with the TV on it to a spare room.  This living area looks so much more inviting!

Thx, Cathy Lee.  The colors now play well with all the massive stone and outdoor views.  Before they seemed to clash.

Absolutely great change. I can't wait to see how my current project turns out. Using similar colors per my stager, Benjamin Moore "Monroe Bisque" for most of the house.

Can't wait to see the video Karen!  Beautiful transformation.  Happy to see the blue carpet go - it certainly over powered the photo.

A picture speaks a thousand words is very relevant here.  That BLUE carpet, oi vey!  I hope it sells quickly and everyone ends up happy.

LOVE the new carpet!  It always amazes me when sellers would prefer to offer a carpet allowance instead of just installing the new carpet in a neutral color - SEEING the finished product makes such a big difference!

It is amazing how a new carpet and few furniture can do!

Kathy Nielsen brought us the funnest year end possible -- Very few industries could be doing what we are doing now!  displaying our best of our best!

This was my favorite because it was my most recent.  I was just getting the PICS the moment Kathy requested fav's!

So to all you who have commented -- thank you -- but honestly, the success here was not changing out the blue carpet -- that was an obvious hindrance in the sale -- any home stager (or realtor) would suggest that and these savvy home owners knew that when they hired me.

It's, as you know, about building relationships with your clients, get in their boat and float with what they must deal with while they occupy their home for sale.

Sorry for rambling -- should I make this a post?

LOL

What a fabulous job karen.  I bet that gorgeous stone fireplace was hardly noticeable before against that blue carpet, now it stands out!  I really like your furniture placement too, the room looks so much larger now.  It's funny, in the 'before' photo I thought that the coffee table was horrible, but now that you've worked your magic, I love the table!

Karen, I kept going back and forth between the pictures to see if this was the same room. WOW, another job well done!
