Obamanism to the rescue......
So many people of different parties have been making fun of all of the emotionalism bestowed towards the president elect Obama. Some make fun of those who treat him as the new Messiah or the new JFK or merely having blind faith for someone who is thought to have little qualifications to become president. Others complain that people are worshiping him rather than merely agreeing with his beliefs.
I take a different look on this picture and see a very promising beginning to 2009. Remember that an economy is based totally on consumer confidence of what is thought to happen in the future more than reality. i.e. If we all together believe that our economy will recover this coming year, odds are high that we will be in a strong rebound this coming year.
What we have not seen from any president elect is the amount of emotion towards anyone elected to any office much less the presidency. Thus, if we have over 50% of the country that have not just support for Obama, but an intense emotional following to the point of worship as many of his adversaries claim. Instead of fighting these comments, I believe it is fantastic to let the faith flow its course. The more positive belief that we can have in the shortest amount of time, the better for our country.
In reality, no matter what, our country will not physically change as much as people think. Moreover, many people in time will be upset that the changes promised will end up being continuation of policies seen over the past decades. But the emotional following is something none of us have ever seen in our lifetime.
My strong prediction is that within a month to two months after the inauguration, our country will have an incredible amount of positive emotions that will cause change in the country sole because of attitude more than actual action from any one individual.
I applaud Obama and hope that maintains this emotional following for as long as reasonably possible so that our economy will rebound substantially faster than any economist believes. The power of the individual mind is so strong that, as a nation, we can overcome any negatives that are constantly thrown at us.
I truly am very grateful that Obama was elected as no other person could have produced such an emotional following that can change the course of the downfall of our economy.
