This one is for the late night crowd, not the preppies!

This niche wears a 3 piece suit during the day and then will unwind in a private spot at night.  This prospect may be a board member, an account executive, or a bank vice president.  This crowd will dress for success, wine and dine, and then untie, undo, and unravel.

This ain't your Sammy's Go-Go crowd. 

This is high dollar gentlemen's club where jeans and t-shirts don't get in.   Your car is valet parked and you are known by Mr., no first names from the employees.

This niche is not talked about at social parties or discussed at inner circles.  They are usually the strong, silent type.  This evening crowd will acknowledge each other during the day with a hand shake or a nod. In the evening, they will disperse with the pleasantries and go with first name only.   

This crowd does not go to the Crazy Horse Saloon.

This niche (believe it or not) are movers and shakers.  They are wide open in a business space shuttle during the day and they need to unwind in the evening.  They just choose to unwind with the Lipstick, Plastic, and Lace crowd.

If you are not intimidated by this atmosphere, have the dress, wit, and cash to get in, then this niche can take you places.  The evening is the best time to get to know this crowd because you will never get an appointment during the day.  Build a bond under the strobe lights and introductions will come during the day.

The reverse can be said for some women heavy hitters.  Chippendales, Men with Hoses, and Men in Uniforms are ladies only events.  These wild and crazy events (I am told) are not for the shy.  These women travel in groups, love to chat, and are very approachable.  These ladies just want to have fun.  And to bond with these ladies you had better have Cyndi Lauper on your ipod!

A couple of words for warning.  No dollars for garters, you had better have a 5 or a 10 spot.  These crowds can spot a beginner from 2 tables away!

I just had to leave a comment, since no one else has yet! You are so right of course. It would rock foundations if people actually KNEW what other people DID.

We all network in our different ways. This would not be MY choice, but if you can pull it off (no pun intended), then go for it.

Thanks for reading.  It is interesting that you are the only one to comment.  The post was written to stir thought, no matter how "risky".  The idea behind the post is that Realtors or any business professional can network anywhere.  Find the gaps, niche's that are left out or not considered for future business.

Realtors are RE experts.  Their expertise is needed by everyone.  Groups meets on everything from Alcholics Ananomoyous to Jr. League to the Bunko Crowd.  Finda a group that is overlooked and educate the group.  Become the expert.  Some groups are really well connected and like to refer!
