Nu-wave Results

Here is the report of my Nu-Wave oven I promised.  I did get one for Christmas and I used it today for the first time.  I wanted it because of the time saving element it promised and the fact you can cook frozen meat in it as I am always forgetting to thaw something that morning for dinner that night. Nuwave

Also the fact, you can cook with less fat and the vegetables can be cooked at the same time the meat is cooking is another benefit.  So today, I cooked steak, potatoes, squash and red peppers all at the same time.

The results:  excellent.  Nothing left over and the meat was tender and the clean up easy.

It's a winner and I'm going to enjoy it a lot this year.  A busy schedule calls for time saving devices and good nutrition.   For those of you who inquired on my previous post about it, it's good.  You may want to get one as well.

Hi Mary,   I told everyone I would report on how good it cooked or not.  So that's why I wrote this.  It's  a neat way to cook.

Hi Ricki... Was the steak you cooked frozen, and how long did it all take to cook?  This has me intrigued now! :)

Hi Steve,    Yes, the steak was frozen solid.  I seasoned it and put some soy sauce on it and cooked it 9 minutes each side.  Cook less for more rare, longer for more well done.  It did not heat up my kitchen and it uses less energy than a conventional oven.  The veggies I sprayed with oil and seasoned.  I took them out a few minutes before the steak.  It was all delicious.  The best thing is the extra fat and calories are taken out and the food tastes fresher.  I think I'm gonna like it a lot.

I love fish but I hate to cook it.  Tha's one reason I got it.  A few minutes and frozen fish will be done without greasy splattering or smell.  I'll let you know how that comes out.

Ricki glad you got your Nu-Wave oven and the report how well it cooked your frozen meat and your veggies. Carl told me about it so now I guess I need to tell him I want one.  I like the fact that it cooked your meat so quickly and it was tender. Keep us informed of the items you cook and the outcome. - Ceil

I'm sure Don is smiling and happy he got you something you wanted and really like.

Hi Ceil,   Today I cooked frozen hamburgers about 1 inch thick.  It took 14 minutes.  Easy, and I put them on and walked away.  So far, so good.

Hi Ceil,   I was watching the game.  :(   You can cook maybe 10 at a time if you use both racks.  But at 14 minutes, you could do more immediately after.  These were about 1 inch and frozen solid, so less time for smaller ones that are thawed.  I really like it.

Another thing, you can use pans to cook in but so far I have only used the racks for cooking.

Hi Robin,   You will both love it!  Much faster and not so much mess in the kitchen.  I cooked fish with it this week and no smell in the kitchen either.

Hi Sherry,   No it cooks three ways, by convection and 2 more ways.  Check their website and read all about it.  It's quite good.  I was sold on it when I heard their infomercial and they said you can cook the meat when it is frozen and it comes out perfect.  I knew it was for me with me busy schedule.  :)
