Living the HIGH Life.

Many of you that know me, know that I lived in Atlanta in the past. What some of you do not know is I spent 2 different stints living in the Atlanta area. I first moved to the Atlanta area back in 1994 and spent the next 6 years trying to locate myself. I had just lost out on a failed business venture that I had for 2 years and I did not know what direction my life was going in.

When I did decide to move into the city, I had many choices to pick from. I could not decide to live in an Atlanta condo or go for the gusto and find an apartment in an Atlanta hi rise. The hi rise had some appeal to me, but I just could not see pouring money into the hi rise. I actually got the best of both worlds when I found my first  Atlanta high rise condominium. Soon after, I decided that it was time to move on and I sold the condo.

On my second stint in Atlanta. I was some what more fortunate in that I had the option to look at the greater Atlanta luxury real estate. This time I opted out to buy a house in the area of Atlanta. The more that I thought about it, the more I realized that I could have bought one of the many Buckhead condos that were on the market at the same time and been just as happy. I realized at that point owning a huge house is not always the best idea.

All in all, if I had to do it all over again, I would love to have lived at Sovereign Buckhead. The views are spectacular and the amenities are some of the best around. Being in the center of Atlanta with all the restaurants, shopping malls, and transportation so close is something that is appealing to me.

Danny, I would agree with that statement. What most people do not know is that my mother grew up on West Wesley and it was essentially my second home (I was born and raised in Nashville). My grandparent had their home for over 40 years and my grandfather and his family owned over 200 acres on West Wesley and Bolton, GA. Anyway, I love that part of Atlanta and there are bits and pieces of it still there among all the ridiculously big houses. Thanks for the reminders. Bo

We lived in Warner Robbins, Georgia for a year back in 94 and we visited Atlanta and Buckhead every chance we could. What a beautiful area.

Midtown Atlanta GA Condos For Sale

Danny....wouldn't we ALL like to be able to live at the Sovereign! But when they START in the upper Millions...I think I'm gonna have to sell lots and lots more real estate to be able to afford to live there!

With all the Buckhead has added with new residential construction, Midtown outsold Buckhead in November 08 compared to 07! Those high priced condos are getting harder and harder to move!

Great post!

Thom and Ray, Buckead property takes a special buyer for a high rise like Sovereign. But, alas, we know they are out there. I lived in Midtown for a while myself and loved the amenities as well.

James, it is an awesome city.
