climb mountainFirst let me state for the record I hate setting goals.  Yes I know I need them to move forward, however for me not accomplishing a goal has always equaled FAILURE!  I know, it's not the accomplishing the goal as much as it the process of getting to that GOAL.

So my first GOAL for the New Year is to set some GOALS!

What are YOUR goals, are they realistic, or mind blowing, outrageous and totally over the top?

Keep in mind I HATE not accomplishing what I say I'll accomplish ..... wrong thought process.....better to not have an accomplishment in mind and just see what happens.

2009 Goal Setting - Resolution...

1) Set Goals

2) Accountability Person to make sure I set some goals

3) Tell other the Goals I set, hopefully they will keep me on track!

Ideas? Thoughts? Those of you Goal Setters - how DO YOU KEEP your Goals?

Couple of minor things that work for me:

Write them down on paper and post them somewhere you will see them frequently like the bathroom mirror or... can keep in/on top of a drawer or portfolio if you want to keep them more private.

Especially for big goals, set intermediate steps, and tell yourself it's ok to make partial progress. Review progress and revise the goals if you aren't making progress.

Susan - Best wishes on reaching your goals.  Set them high and work a little harder to reach your milestones.  Even falling a bit short will equate to success.
