How cool would that be?  We would be able to have first hand advice on our tax reporting and exempt benefits.  Do you know of a good accountant?  Tax Advisor?

How about contacting your clients and making sure that they have a professional to assist them with their taxes for 2008?  Prior to the new year may be too late, but, why not offer a name to them? Contact them in the next few days or the very first week of the new year.  The first time home buyers will really need professional help or at least, advice.  How about those folks that bought a vacation home?  There are some good deductions for those folks!

Investors?  Sure, most of them already know someone.  What about the ones that just started this venture of investment properties?  Search your files.  Contact each one of these clients to make sure that they have a good professional to consult with.  Even if they have someone, they will appreciate the call or email from you, just making sure that they are covered.

Tax rules will be changing for 2009.  You can count on it.  Claim what you can now and be sure that your clients do, too.  You only have a few days left!

Have a Prosperous & Healthy New Year!

Sharing the good life,

Frances

Frances I have given out the name of my accountant several times, and he has gotten business from it.  I know that he and the clients that I refer him to both appreciate it.

That's a great idea -- since staging fees are tax deductible and might be overlooked, I'm going to make sure I contact my clients this year with that reminder . . . and since in my former life I was a "bean counter" I know lots of great accountants and accounting firms!

Fran:  This is a good idea.  I am sure there are deductions all of us could take that we don't know about!  After all, one of the advantages of being in business is the deductions.  It is also one of the many benifits of home ownership:)

I'm actually surprised that I've never seen a tax advisor, real estate attorney, or accountant here. It seems that real estate would be a natural place for them to hang out.

Today is the first day of the rest of your life -- make it a good start.

Our office manager tried and tried to find a CPA or someone to come to our office and give a little talk on what we can deduct, etc.... and since we had so many new agents, they would be needing someone to do their taxes-and other agents were looking for a change. She couldn't find anyone willing to do it! They either didn't need new business, or didn't have the time..... I couldn't believe it!

Fran, how long have you been in Real Estate? You come up with the most interesting things, or do you attribute it to Buffini?  Please respond...

Frances & Sherry,

I think accountants that speak to groups are gun shy because taxes are so specialized and you need their individual services.

Sherry, There's a good reason to sit and call your database.  Ask your clients, friends, neighbors and relatives to offer a good name for your office meetings.  There has to be someone!  Jeepers!

Jim, That's what I was thinking?  Are you Blitzing?

Evelyn, I have just been around forever!  I love what I do and I love to help people.  They tell me that it is very strong in my Heritage Profile.  Buffini is certainly an impact.  They have become like a family to me.

Brenda, There has to be some that specialize in real estate.  Maybe, we just need to be touching base with more of these folks.
