Sellsius Real Estate (at 8:35 pm PST) is currently lounging around in Laguna Beach, CA sipping margaritas and Coronas with SoCal Rainers-and left me here in San Diego to break the news. (Can't blame them-I was in a class strugging to convert from PC-mentality to MAC). ((Ouch!!))

All drama aside, Rudy and Joe have unveiled a new site that  so caters to the real estate agent and the buyers who wants more precision in their property search results. BMW and Mercedes engineers couldn't have done a better job.

Want a niche search for that ski cabin in the mountains, or that duplex by the sea? Buyers will have to look no further-especially if we Rainers post our precise listings not only on Active Rain, but on Sellsius Real Estate as well.

Their new site allows agents to upload listings with detailed precision such as we have never seen before. The input time may take a little longer, but the search results for potential clients will be so much richer. Moreover, agents will soon be allowed to not only list their primary website, but also secondary ones-and blogs as well (including ActiveRain blogs). If only Realtor.com and brokerages were so courageous.

I am thinking that Sellsius Real Estate could be a real contender for Craig's List and other sites that post real estate listings. The difference with Sellsius is that they provide huge depth in search along with a great deal of agent transparency (Be prepared to set aside a good chunk of time to complete your entire professional resume. Mine is still not complete).

There is a free option which I skimmed over. I wanted the full charter membership (29.95) which will allow me to provide numerous links to websites and blogs, great listing exposure, and will also help to support a great friend to all Realtors.

Now, how about a Margarita, 1000 red balloons, and a salute to Sellsius:-)))()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()....1?!!!

I hope that you share more of your thoughts about the conversion to a Mac.  I'm kind of considering it right now.

Roberta, thanks for the update. I'll need to mull it over and check it out more closely. Mac, hugh? Did you get hooked-in with the mac-pc commercials? Keep us updated on your conversion.

Brian: I never doubted it! Wish I could have joined y'all....

Ed and Gena: I love the i-MAC and the Apple Store and Apple Care and i-Life. It's just a few compatibility issues and my pc-trained brain. And yeah, the commercials are cool, too.

Laurie: I'll bet it was fun!!!

Maureen: Ditto!

Thanks Roberta for your support in joining as a Founding Member.  You definitely get what we're trying to do. We think search can be improved. We came up with Niche Search and Exact match because, as agents ourselves, we often had clients with specific wants and it was hard to find them properties with the traditional "fuzzy" search.  The more data we get the more useful our search engine will be.  We already have had interest from brokers who want to use a similar type search engine.

We also believe in highlighting the individual professionals  --so we created  searchable directories of agents, as well as their referral network of supporting professionals---the home stagers, mortgage brokers, tradespeople, etc.  The sign up process automatically creates a detailed profile (with contact info and links to members' sites)which is automatically ncluded in one of these directories.  Real estate is people, not only property.

We aim to promote our membership on and offline. We have plans to give back to our members in new ways--to reward them for their faith in us.  We are excited to start the journey with you all. Salute!
