This post was inspired by Neal Bloom's post Localism works...I think

I thought what a great idea to highlight some of my favorite localism type posts. Localism does work...I really do know that it works.

My recent very local post about Hate was widely read by local people and it had the most public comments of any of my posts, ever. It was picked up by the The Union Leader a New Hampshire newspaper and that created recognition beyond anything I ever expected. Yesterday they did a follow up interview to be published tomorrow.

Localism...trust me it works.  Take a virtual tour of my home town of Hampstead New Hampshire and a virtual tour of Kingston New Hampshire.

Hi Monika - Yes, Localism most definitely works.

I'm always amazed by the calls and emails I get from the public after they've read my posts.  They seem to like statistics the best...every month when I post them, I get contacts.  I really thought the monthly stats would bore people...but apparently they want this information.

Your Hate post deserved the attention it received.  You did a good thing by telling that story from your own perspective.  It proves that not all of our posts need to be real estate-related.  Opening our minds and our hearts on our posts shows the public who we really are.

Hey Monica

Localism works.  I KNOW.

BTW, I have also added my Localisms to Google Base.  I have about 220 of them entered.  Not a lot of activity yet, but in time. . . . . . . .

As soon as I get time, I'll add more text.  Right now, I just have links.  What did I say about time? . . . . .

Don...Thanks so much for your comment. Even if the Stats seem boring to you, I know that the consumers like that information. I post a lot of stats just for that reason. My Hate post was different than anything I've ever posted.

Lenn...You are the Queen of localism!!!  I hope someday I be half as good as you with local posts. You're my inspiration!

Neal... Thanks for the link back. I stole this idea from you!

Hi Monika - nice post and love how you linked your local posts all together.  I might 'borrow' your idea that was inspired by Neal.......   ;-)

You did get some awesome exposure from your "Hate" post, that's for sure.
