Has blogging become boring?  Really, how more topics are there? You decide! WHAT'S THE TALK IN 2009?

Have you become bored with the blogging ordeal?  Are you still actively reading AR?

Where have all the interesting topics gone?

Where have all the interesting writers gone?

Where is the stimulus?

HA! AMAZING...I THINK MANY OF THOSE WHO continuously contribute here are busy!

When we're busy, we don't have time to blog.  Or do we?

Blogging to me is relaxing.  I just wrote an offer, and listed two properties and I'm tired...So, I logged onto AR to see what was up.

Not meaning to offend anyones posts, however, many posts here are personal relevations (I have been guilty as well), subjects close to their home (which I have no clue)(might be better for Localism), opinions about information that I don't have privy to (where did you get that? References are nice.).

So, during the Holiday's lot's of people do not have time to blog.  Those that are thinking about blogging and do (as I am tonight), are wondering what would make a great NEW TOPIC FOR A BLOG, WHERE THERE WOULD BE A ZILLION COMMENTS, and MOST OF ALL, what would be SOMETHING NEW AND INTERESTING TO READ!  RIGHT?

That being said, "WHAT DO YOU WANT TO READ ABOUT IN 2009?"  What are the topics of the FUTURE? What new technological information have you found?  Do you understand it? Do you need to find someone on AR who understands and do you want advice?  Do you want to know about the future of the housing market?  Do you want to know about Foreign Nationals and loans for them?  Do you want to know when MORTGAGE COMPANIES and BANKS are going to start lending money to the QUALIFIED PEOPLE OUT THERE THAT ARE STILL NOT GETTING LOANS?

WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT IN 2009?

I want to talk about the positive things that are going to be done to turn this real estate buggy around.  Technology info is great too.

Audrey,

I'm with you 100% on that idea.  It will be interesting to see that when the government changes Presidents, how the market reacts, don't you think?

Technology is also a great idea, however, I'm still behind on the new things from 2008...LOL

Karen I see you are asking lots of questions (with no answers?) or is your tongue firmly in cheek? there are lots of groups, topics and blog writers here on AR of course to choose from!

Stephen,

Tongue is stuck in the cheek...of course no answers...waiting to see what people want to see in 2009...with the tongue still in the cheek... :-)

Oh and Steve, I'm asking, not offering answers...there are lots but asking what for the new year...see?

I still think that lots of the topics from 2008 are still viable and interesting for 2009.  If you write in an engaging way and pull the reader into your topic, anything goes pretty much.  Buyers still want to hear about buying.  Sellers still want to hear about selling.  The only thing NEW would be how technology is changing to help us help our clients.

Kathy,

Yes that is true, however, in this real estate market, there are very few mortgage companies, lenders, etc lending to people.  Even people with great credit and money down are having trouble getting loans.  So, I'm curious as to how that side of the readers feel, just for one.

There is so much technology out there now that I cannot even keep up with all of the wonderful avenues.

I think Kathy, we need to investigae how to get money for credit wise individuals with cash on hand who are still being turned away due to lack of lending programs.

Just my opinion.

Thanks for your opinion. Karen

Karen, there is such variety on Active Rain, it always amazes me. But from an individual blogger writing perspective I can see where there might be dry spells with ideas, and maybe sit back and be a reader for awhile.

Karen- You know what I think of blogging! As for subjects to blogs and blogs getting featured by The AR Gods, I will never be able to figure that out.

The subjects are the same old, same old with rearranged words. I know my blogs are very similar with all my photographs, but at least there are new pics with every blog.

You always have very good titles to your blogs and most of them are mind picking. As for the AR Gods and features, I think a person gets black balled around here by the nit-pickers. And when you flag someones blog, I believe the only way it gets featured by the Gods is when a (BIG Wheel) flags it.

I put out a great blog and about 6 members sent me personal emails to tell me how great it was and that they had flagged it, (Nothing).

We just have to keep plugging away and get ourselves out there.

PS, sorry about commenting on features, I am just tired of seeing week blogs being featured. Are you with me Karen?

I hate  political blogs for the most part and enjoy blogs about subject in which the writer is invested or from which I can learn things.

I'm looking for something great here.  I have a few topics, but I feel my mind needs a kick in the butt or else, it's becoming depleted.

George,

I hope you are right.  And these jobs will be? Building roads and bridges? Or what?  That will be the most important issue.

Gary,

Maybe I didn't make my point...I am reading and I as other's haven't seen anything new or interesting to read...at least when I'm looking...same ole, same ole...or something about a topic which really belongs to Localism.

Robert,

Forget about the featured stuff...it will come to you...no one can control which person who has the ability to feature your post will feal the same passion about a post as you or another writer does.  I was surprised everytime.

Karen - You have been doing this a lot longer then I have so perhaps you are just bored and need a break.  For me, technology is changing at light speed - new things to blog about every single day.  Things are happening in the Economy that have never happened before, many very bloggable topics here too.  I find that the more you try to think about blog topics, the less ideas come.  I just go through the course of my day and observe.  I just finished a great book that really moved me, so tonight - I blogged about great books.  Some days ideas come, some days they dont.

Steve,

Heck, I'm not bored blogging.  I do it every night here on AR and I'm a strong advocate of blogging.

My blog was for discussion, not saying I'm bored with it, just looking for conversation and opinions about blogging.

I've written over 600 blogs here, so I'm addicted.  :-)
