While we're all busy putting '08 to bed and gearing up for '09, the consensus for the economy, regardless of direction, is that "Green" will have a positive impact.
Have you given any thought what-so-ever to incorporate green into your business plan?
From simple things like conservation measures: a formal recycling plan for your office paper waste products, a conscious decision to use paper only when absolutely necessary, reduce driving by increasing your pre-screening of properties with your clients,
To big things like buying a more fuel efficient vehicle, upgrading your home or office energy performance to getting really radical and focusing on actively marketing "green" homes?
I dare say most of us haven't given it a passing thought. How will you incorporate "green" into your business practices?

- Great post! Kristi's post was a relevant post but from what I saw, there were alot of excuses as to why they show buyers too many properties. We show less than 5 homes to typical buyers.
- You are correct Mike.
It is when the market slows down that I usually do better. In a hot market sellers feel anyone can sell their house. When it slows down they start seeking out dedicated sales people with the skills, knowledge and determination to get the job done.
-EXCELLENT post...and your book list is fantastic. Well done.
- Oh, I see...you think we should run our business as a "real" business with a purpose. I like the way you operate. Thanks for the great sales plan.
- Thanks for the posting here Mike, I like the way these steps are clearly defined. I think the most important thing I learned here was the WE ARE GOING TO BUY YOUR HOUSE TODAY. thats a tremendous mindset and idea/l to put into your buyers head before leaving the office. Great idea.
. . . I enjoyed the one which is what market conditions can I exploit.
- Great post. I love anything that is outside the box. I firmly believe in strategic partnerships and the best way to advertise is to do it where you are exclusive. No gain when you're only one more of the crowd. Thank you!
- Mike congrats on you sale of the "prime Texas dirt":) Sounds like an interesting approach.
- Mike, that is a very interesting thought. The average consumer, me included, would think that a bank would be motivated to get rid of their non-performing assets so they can move on. It's amazing how many REO's sit on the market for a long time because the banks turn down good offers waiting for better ones. I'm surprised there hasn't been any articles addressing this.
- Mike - great story! True or not, it is an inspiration and a reminder. Thank you.
