First I'd like to thank my new friend Mary Douglas (http://activerain.com/mdouglas) for tagging me again. I think this will be my 3rd or 4th Meme. How much of myself can I share?
First Heres them rules:
- 1. Create a blog post with a link to the person who so happily tagged you. See above!
- 2. List all of these rules in the post. Feel free to cut and paste this.
- 3. Share seven things that others may not know about you.
- 4. Identify seven friends, contacts or near enemies in which to adorn this MEME. Tag them at the end of the post and give a link to their blog.
- 5. Contact each of the tagged members and let them know that you were indeed fast enough to catch them and that you did indeed tag them...no matter how much they say you missed them! No schoolyard rules in this MEME, nope you gotta do it if you are tagged. Sorry guys!
Things you don't know about Dena:
1) I can be very shy unless I feel like I'm in control. This is why when I'm at a party or with strangers I'm 100% business. If I can't talk about real estate you'll probably find me in the corner with a book or having a private conversation with somebody. Admission is the first step, right?
2) My sister fell very, very ill about 10 years ago. Today she is well and gratefully still with us. But this was the wake up call I needed to start taking my relationships more seriously. Tell the people in your life how much they mean to you. I promise nobody knows what tomorrow holds.
3) On my 13th birthday my family went camping at Leo Carrillo Beach in Southern California and American Bandstand TV was there doing their very first live broadcasts. They came in with beach balls and Frisbees and a huge crew. You had to be 16 to "be on the broadcast" but I think if you ever see a re-re-re-run of the shows on late-late-late night TV you "might" see a very blond teenager out playing Frisbee on the beach that looks something like me. The Bay City Rollers were the live entertainment for the 3 shows.
S-A-T-U-R-D-A-Y Night!
4) I hate dirty dishes in the sink and will stay up late to make sure that dishes are clean and put up. And I walk my dogs EVERY day, rain, sun, snow, wind....Say neurotic!
5) You can find me hanging out in some of the local coffee shops in Florence (The Pour House) and in Canon City ( The Coyotes Den) and I don't drink coffee.
6) I grew up in Los Angeles and my neighbors and friends were in "the industry". These friends were writers, musicians and agents. I use to hang out with some of these friends who had pools. Los Angeles in the summer is very hot. And I taught some of today's BIG stars to swim. Since I can't prove it I won't mention names.
7) I moved from Denver to Florence Colorado on a whim! Seriously, I wasn't happy in Denver and wanted to change my life. I use to spend weekends taking driving trips and thinking about moving around Colorado. Florence seemed like a nice place. So without any real reason, no friends and no job I started life over again in Florence Colorado. This was a great decision, and very liberating.
