As I look back to review what happened in 2008 I find several FIRSTS. Now to some I am sure that these will not be earth shattering or even a small molecule in a Petri dish but they were firsts. I don't know about you but when I was invited by Kim McClintock on Feb.1st to join Active Rain I was not sure what I was getting myself into. To say it has been eye opening would be an understatement.
After making some comments on other Rainers' posts I ventured into the arena of writing and on Feb. 24th I wrote my first post. Talk about having a case of the nerves. I think that we all go through this, wondering if we will be accepted or not. Then it happened, I got my first comment from Richard Weisser about 15 minutes later. I have arrived! But wait, there's more.
I started to get some people that thought that I was worth reading and decided to subscribe to my blog. Among them are some pretty famous people here in the Rain such grand names include, Terry Westbrook, Leesa Finley, Jesse & Kathy Clifton, Debe Maxwell, Gary Woltal, Midori Miller, Lisa Hill, Bill Gassett, LaShawn Norden, JL Boney III, Elizabeth Nieves, Jason Crouch and so many more.
This is a time of year when we reflect on the things that we did last year and begin to look at the New 
Year. If you are new to Active Rain or just haven't stepped out and gotten wet let me encourage you to make 2009 that year! There are so many talented people here and they are very willing to share their knowledge and experience with others. So jump in the Rain and get wet.
Let me just say Thank You Active Rain for opening up a whole new world of social networking and acronyms to someone that had never done anything like this before.
