    to You Active Rainers in 2009;

    Happy prosperous New Year
       today  and
     all Year Long.

 The day this picture was taken, with my new camera,
 turned out to be one of the most Spectactular skies I have
 seen since moving here in 1997.

 A Bright, Crispt, Majestic type of day.  A day that makes you happy to be alive.

 If I could have photoshopped this sky, I could never have improved on God's Handiwork.  This is a corner lot & as I came around it to the front of our Home, the view was breathtaking, so much so, that I almost forgot to try out the camera.  So Glad that I regained my senses and this picture was captured.  A few moments later and the cloud formation had changed to ordinary; the wind kicked up enough to forcast Fall rains, & the sun was covered by a dark cloud not seen here.Our flag monents later

It truly was an experience and a scene that has not been repeated to date.

Usually, the Western sky  at Sunset is magnificent & we find ourselves exclaiming, enjoying, marveling at the beauty created for us by God.

This day pictured above  is the N.Eastern view of the sky overhead.  Interesting, that which is always around us, as in always over our heads, is seldom seen to be as anything more than a weather predictor; when the reality is that it is a  majestic canopy over our lives.

Does it convey  wonders  to come.....

or, is it a forboding fortelling of bad things on the horizon.

Thankfully, I rounded that corner on this Fall day;

this picture tells who we are---glass half Full  people.
      AND

with a Divine slap up side of the head

 we learned  the Truth, again.

                                                      HAPPY NEW YEAR

The clouds in that picture are so cool!  I love the skys and how they change.  I was one of those that would lay and look at the clouds when I was a kid!

Tami---you are so Right! Not only did I, too, lay out & watch the sky & clouds as a kid; when our son came to live with us when he was five years old, we would do that a lot. sometimes, when we were stuck in traffic it came in handy as a fun game.  He even picked out THE cloud where he was going to live when he went up to Heaven.

Now, unfortunately, at 32, he claims that he is a non-believer.

But, I thank you for making me think of that memory. I'm glad that it is my memory to share.

 He will have to find his own memory again.
