We couldn't find that user.

My wife is always saying that the reason I like being a home inspector is that I like the toys that come with the job.  I can't disagree with her.

Well, here in Columbus and Central Ohio, there is a bit of snow and ice and some 3 story old homes that are difficult to reach and see the roof and chimney's.

So, I combined some of my advertising budget and this is what I've come up with.  I know it's a bit loud but I want to be seen.

Wow Rick, I'm truly impressed.  Of course, the boss says that I'm not allowed to have anything like that until, well............ forever.  Have a great new year.

Jack,

I just had to make a move to stand out even more above the competition.  Hopefully this will let people know that I'm serious... about my toys.  :-)

You must do a lot of business as I see many inspectors who pull up in personal cars.

Gene,

I am a full time home inspector in the Columbus and Central Ohio area.  I am an instructor at Ohio's largest Real Estate College in the Home Inspection department.  I also do Home Energy Audits/Surveys or investigations.  Most people don't need a complete audit, they just need me to find out why a particular area is cold.

I have been very busy and want to stay that way.  The rolling billboard hopefully will let people know that I'm here and want to help with their real estate needs.

And I do love this job and meeting all the people.

This is Sunday and I've scheduled a full inspection today to help the client who does not want to use the valuable vacations days they have.   No extra charge.

Rick - My wife saw me looking at your new toy. All she said was "I don't think so!".  Meaning, well, you know - NEVER.  Enjoy the toy.

Brian,

It started that way with me and my brainstorming.  She was not in favor of it either.  It took awhile and some rearranging of funds and where I put my advertising $$$.  Once I had that set, I finally "won".  Don't know if we ever win..... but now I have to prove that it was a good move by generating more business with it.

I've already generated income by helping others with putting up new store signs, replacing lights in parking lots, replacing lights in store signs, putting up and taking down holiday decorations and another inspector needed access to a roof for a commercial inspection and it was safer and easier than renting a 32 foot ladder.  Hopefully this will continue.  I've added the service to craigslist.

Rick... can you come to Akron and demonstrate the usefulness of this to my wife so that I can get one too?? (Just kidding, but it would be fun) :))

Rick -  Kevin wasn't kidding. That's how he got the motorcycle, the 4-wheelers and all the other carpentry toys in his toy box (aka Pole Barn) haha.

A bucket truck would have it's uses for trimming trees too. They'll sure see you coming! Cool truck.

Here's a new toy for your wife to try free - turnabout's fair play!

Rick,

Very nice toy..  I saw you going down the road the other day. If people can not get the drift of what you are doing, they never will.
