So, I was surfing AR today looking at blogs and getting some great laughs and some great information.

However, I came across one blog and really enjoyed it.  But what caught my eye the most was the profile picture.  You could tell this person had pretty eyes, but it was just from their eyes on up.  You couldn't see their inviting smile or anything.  I read some of their posts and they were great, showed great personality, but that did not come across at all in the picture.

It is something to think about because people surfing the internet might come across your blog.  They may be looking for somebody that looks professional but is also smiling and they feel they can just go up and talk to them.  I would encourage everybody to put a picture up that is welcoming and brings a smile to anybody's face.

Now, you may just feel how Maxine feels about my opinion and I am ok with that! Just thought I would throw it out there!

Oh that is funny.  I like some of those photos which are not the straight on normal color photo.  There was someone who had a B&W which was the side of his face and I loved it.  The main thing about the photos here and on FaceBook or Twitter is that you can change them and I do!  I have a photo from when I was 3 on my FB right now to "look back while looking forward".

So I guess I like both.  The artsy ones and the "normal" photos too.

I've seen some partial photo's as well and they are usually with some fairly high ranking AR and agents....so there must be some psychological benefit to it.  I tend to run fairly straight and narrow so my picture is the typical posed professional shot...yawn...

Karen,

That is a good perspective.  I guess I didn't think about that.  I didn't know people changed them  all the time too.  Good to know!  Thanks!

Cindy,

I am right with you.  I keep mine pretty simple.  Maybe I need to get more creative, hard to say.  But I appreciate your input!  Have a good day!
