What's in your drawer? What's your comfort food during a busy day at the office?

OK, you're busy at the office, your stomach is growling feverously.  You are working diligently...and you are getting tired.

Is it another cup of coffee? Is it a caffeinated soda? Is it a snack bar?

Do you bring snacks with you?  Do you stop at MacDonalds? Starbucks? Dunkin Donuts? Subway?

Do you forget to eat?  How does that affect your ability to work? Or does it?

Do you have snacks with you in your car in case your customers are diabetic? Candy? Water?

What's your COMFORT FOOD?

Do you ever consider the health/condition of the customer you drive around all day?

Do you take time for lunch? Do you ever discuss the hunger level of your customer?

Do you ever wonder if your customer would have a better attention span while perusing property if they had a little snack?

IS THIS EVER AN ISSUE?

Comfort food, chocolate for me.  I don't keep it around though.  I would balloon if I did.

Angelia,

Chocolate...then again, if I eat sugar...I have energy for 30 minutes then I get tired...It's called hypoglycemia...I for one do better with a small portion of a carbohydrate...breaks down the sugars slower and I have energy longer.

Hi Karen!

I haven't crossed paths with you in a while.  I hope your holidays were great.  I too LOVE chocolate.  I do have sweet cravings and salt craving so it depends.

I like McDonalds Southwest salad.  I like Wendy's Chili.  I get these when I am on the run.

Marlene,

Happy Holidays...That fast food is a killer...I too like the salads, etc...haven't been to Wendy's for a long time...One bad experience...

What do you have around for a hungry customer?  Just curious.

Coffee... between showings.  Best way to get a client to open up and get feedback.

I think we should rename Starbucks "Truth Serum" =)

Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate, my comfort food of choice.  BUT I do have snacks and almonds and bars in my car and purse as well as my desk at the office.  There is nothing worse than a hungry client or realtor...we don't make good decisions when we are edgy.  SO, I have waters in the trunk as well, and sometimes in the summer a small ice chest to keep things cold.  Sometimes I have the little cottage cheese or vege lunchables too.  Just faster than stopping for meals and let's me keep going and in a pinch helps the client too.  It makes them feel taken care of and we get more accomplished.

Daniel,

I like that analogy...truth serum...make them hyper with all the caffeine and they will possibly...tell all?  LOL.

Terrylynn,

In the summer, I always have a cooler with water and some type of snacks, pretzels are good as with the water they fill you up and keep you sane for awhile.  I also have some sugars though for diabetic type customers...you never know their health issues until the moment in need.

I STILL THINK WE ALL SHOULD HAVE CPR certification...after all...

I don't have any food in my drawer.  I try to plan ahead if possible for the day and bring my all weather lunch zip up bag with ice packs if needed...

I like Sonic for fast-food, although I try to avoid that.  I also love Kraft Macaroni and Cheese as comfort food.  But, to be smart, I try to drink a lot of homemade smoothies.
