The Do's and Don'ts of the Mortgage Process

As part of my regular client consultation, I provide my clients with the following information as they make application.  It is such great advice, I thought I would put it out there for everyone to reference. 

• Do work with an experienced Mortgage Lender that has the knowledge and security to deliver in any market.
• Don't have your credit pulled numerous times (e.g., apply for credit cards, loans, co-sign for someone else, etc.)
  
• Don't make a large credit purchase.
• Don't make undocumented large deposits into your bank account.
• Do follow through quickly if you are contacted for more information
• Do contact your loan officer is there is a major employment or income change.
• Do contact your loan officer is there is a major change in a monthly credit bill. (e.g., sold a vehicle,paid off a large credit card or installment loan, etc.)
