Melva...good for you! I hope all your neighbors buy from you...I should do this...I don't know why, but I find it sort of intimidating, and first do the mailer/phone thing. But I will try to fit this method in as well...
Knocking on doors, good for you. They also will know you are a hard working agent who is pro active. Great way to start 2009 and keep up the presence. Also way to go killing two birds with one stone, exercise and networking!
Kristin.....the first couple of knocks are the hardest....then you get your confidence up! Most people respond well to a smiling face, which is hard to convey by phone.
And since it's difficult to door-knock your whole area, try fitting it in with your other methods as you've suggested. I think variety is a good thing as well as helping to keep us motivated!
Good luck with this.....
Connie....thanks for the words of encouragement.....all the best in 2009!
Melva, good idea, I wonder if we have become too enamored with technology and forget the human touch.
Tony and Darcy....hopefully we will maintain a balance of the two!
Wishing you a happy and prosperous 2009....
Melva - good for you! I do that with my database but have gotten away from doing it with the general public. I am targetting a different market this year and you've given me the budge in the right direction. Thanks and here's hoping 2009 is Divine!!!!
Hi Melva, Good for you. Any touch is important. The best is a combination of all types of contact, personal, phone and on-line.
Good for you for getting out there!! Let us know how you make out.
Happy New Year,
Susan
Thanks Susan......Happy New Year to you as well!
Melva
Thanks for the advice! I need to do this to let all of my neighbors know that I am here and can sell there home and find them a new one!
Amber....I think personal connections give us the motivation we need to keep going, especially during challenging times. It's at the root of what we do and a win-win situation for all! Happy 2009!
What a smart lady....remembering the good old days of getting to know folks
