Here in Maryland, we use Sentrilock lock-boxes for our listings. I have my boxes set up with an email notification that lets me know that a showing has occurred. The email is sent when the showing agent updated his or her Sentrilock card the next time after the showing. I just received a showing notification from October 21st of last year. That means the agent hasn't been busy, or they have only been showing listings that are on combo boxes since then.

Could be they are focused on Bank Owned properties.  They are normally on combo boxes.

Hi Rich - might be just as you and Scott think.

I showed 12 properties in one day last week and only 1 was on SentriLock.  The others were all combos.  And also, I didn't update my card until I was AT the property (over the phone).  So, I'm not even sure that shows up on the listing agent's report since I didn't update at the computer?

I agree with Lanette, I think a lot of properties are using combo boxes these days. On the other hand there are a LOT of part time agents that are getting even more part time than they were a few years ago.

Wow! I didn't realize Sentrilock could do that.  I don't kow that I care.  I just want them to get into my listing with a buyer and send me an offer.  If it's the only house they show all year, that's OK by me.  Just sell the house!

Hey Rich, Ouch...kind of makes you wonder...here a lot of properties are now bank owned and are mainly using combo boxes, lots of agents went back to their full time jobs, and some are definitely slower than they were before.  Think it depends on when they chose to do their updates also.  Thought provoking though, isn't it?

Maybe they were in a jurisdiction like Montgomery County that just made the switch so they didn't need the Sentri but was still using Supra.  Lets hope for their sake.
