To Heck With New Year's Resolutions! 10 Things I Won't Be Doing In 2009!

By
Real Estate Agent with Helping people in transition 210155

With every new year that comes along, so comes a brand new set of New Year's resolutions.

Go on a diet. Quit smoking. Work harder. Spend more time with family. Exercise more.

These are the top 5 New Year's resolutions year after year. But how many of us really stick to it? And how many of us even make resolutions for the new year.

Year after year, my only resolution is to NOT make resolutions. If there's something I want or need to do, I don't need a special date to do it.

But this year I can guarantee you that there are some things I will NOT do!

1. I will not attempt to learn the ins and outs of lion taming.

Lion taming

2. I will not attempt to befriend sharks.

Hi buddy. Wanna be friends?

3. I will not try to achieve this look.

A look I'm trying to avoid!

4. Unless this guy gets pre-qualified first, I'm not showing him any homes for sale.

I left my pre-qualification letter in my other coat pocket...really!

5. I will not use duct tape to repair furniture.

Ugly Couch

6. As adorable as Rabies might be, I will not let my friend's dog come for a visit.

Bad dog!

7. I will not put an addition on my home without checking the contractor's qualifications first!

Home improvement gone horribly wrong!

8. I will not paint my car like this.

One bad paint job!

9. Although I plan on mountain biking much more this year, I will not attempt this when doing so.

Extreme Mountain Biking

10. And finally, I will never, ever, for any amount of money try this.....

Fly Like A Bird!

Cecily - OK, OK. You probably called me a sick puppy many more times than Michael has! I'll come up with an award for you too!

Brooke - Thank you! You have a great week too! Thanks for stopping on by and taking the time to comment. Come back soon!

Mike - Since you asked for it.....

Mike's sick puppy mascot!

Michael - You're a smart man! Stay away from trying any of these in 2009!

Linda - You know the deal. We'll still be providing the same quality service to our buyers and sellers that we've been recognized for over the years...while avoiding doing any of the things mentioned in this blog!

Teresa - Get at it Teresa. It's already the 4th of January! Man, this year seems to be flying on by!!!

Terrie - I'm with you! I always try to post blogs that get the masses involved. Sometimes the comments are better than anything I could ever come up with! I'm convinced that people are inherently deranged, but just act normal in public so they can keep a job and earn a living!!!
