Something Positive Happened to me Yesterday (2nd edition)

Yesterday, I started this running thread in an attempt to fish out the positive stories that we encounter daily. Even though there was a lot of good feedback, the comments were still missing the meat of what I was hoping would appear. There has to be something positive that happens to people daily. I can not believe that a person can go through an entire day and not have one positive experience. So, if you do not mind, share with us that one positive experience that happened to you yesterday.

I will start it out by telling everyone that I received my first referral of 2009 yesterday. It was given to me from Fred Chamberlin here in ActiveRain. Even though we were not able to do the loan for the customer, it is still an honor to have a loan office for across the nation to send a lead to you.

We receieved our third buyer referral from another client who has been working with our team to find a home, and has not yet purchased. He's a referral magnet because he likes how we are coaching him through the process of buying!

I had a "dormant" client contact me yesterday and say he was ready to begin his home search again. I showed him a few properties this morning. They weren't right for him, but he did tell me he's ready to buy now. That's pretty positive.

Yesterday I found out my Dad was well enough to leave the hosptial:-) He's been in and out over the past couple of months so him being well enough to go back to rehab is GREAT news!

Peggy, that is when you know you are doing something right.

Debra, that is super fantastic news.

Yesterday was a beautiful sunny day here on the Alabama coast where I am on a short New Years R & R. We drove around and enjoyed the beauty of the beaches and the gulf and ate oysters on the half shell at Sea & Suds overlooking the water. While basking in this beaut of nature I got a call on my cell phone from an out of towner needing to transfer to Birmingham. He wants a rental to start with until he learns the area. Not sure what led him to me yet...he mentioned Realtor.com. So I will help him with that and maybe sell him a home in 6 months!

Life is good!

Danny- I locked my first loan of 2009 yesterday. And by 9:30 in the morning at that. Good omen I hope.

Hi Danny - I got an e-mail from a former customer that wants to refinance and take advantage of the new low rates. You are welcome for the referral. Now you owe me two. LOL

Hi Danny, There is always positive! I showed a property today. The buyer isn't ready to go - but at least I'm working on business that should happen in May or June.

Danny...I thought so, too, even though it was not real estate related:-)

I got five applications for sales reps for my business and sold 13 ads. its a great time to be a live, i guess any time is.

Every day I look for the positive in the world even if it is just a bird tweeting in a tree. Too much negativity to go around!

I have to say my husband going to the grocery store was something positive that someone did for me yesterday!

Yesterday I finished painting my back hallway. Probably not a big deal to many of you but my ceilings are 18' back there and I am not too wild about heights so that was a big positive for me! Also, the Cards won! I am fortunate to have a great home, fun pets, excellent friends and family and a super fun place to work. Those are my positives. Happy new year!

It's all good - when I wake up and look out my window, I feel good. I finished that damn jigsaw puzzle that I got for Christmas! Does that count?
