For many of you unlucky souls across the nation the Football Season 2008 has come to a close. Sorry to say, not such a great year for your team, but in 8 months time a brand new season will begin. (I'm sure the Detroit Lions could not wait for the torture to be over!)

Drew HoldenHere in Baltimore you would think our team, the Baltimore Ravens were playing in Tampa tomorrow to compete for the SuperBowl trophy, rather than a "Wild Card" playoff game on the other side of the Florida coast!

THIS CITY IS AMPED.

WE CALL IT PURPLE PRIDE

It may have been a tough year for many people in this area. Jobs were lost, homes were foreclosed on and crime continues to rise, but Baltimore stops everything when it comes to it's football team.

Finally this year, this franchise has an offense to talk about: A Rookie Quarterback in Joe Flacco Wacko for Flacco(This City is going Wacko for Flacco) who has found his feet and a powerful arm while winning the heart of "Balmer"residents. A new coach and the powerful defensive line lead by the charismatic Ray Lewis. A recipe for success.

This maybe only a Wild Card Game, but we have high hopes of returning to Florida for a February game.

Ellie, You are so right that tomorrow is a big day for our Ravens. Signs of purple passion is all over the city. We will all be watching at 1 pm tomorrow. Go Ravens!

Funny, I have never lived in a winning city in my life.  Oh, well I should say when I lived there.  I lived in Tampa and they didn't win until the year after I left.  I lived in Atlanta and they didn't win until the year after I left.  I guess if you want the Ravens to win, I should live there too.  As soon as I move the next year I am sure they would win as well.

COngrats to the Ravens.  My husband was totally bummed that his Dolphins lost.  However, we can now get fully behind the Ravens to go all the way.
