Kangaroo

Without a doubt, one of the absolute best place to live on earth is Dawsonville in Dawson County located near the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in North Georgia.  We've got lakes, mountains, waterfalls, ammenities and activities galore.  Ever been to a Kangaroo Conservation Center?  A Moonshine Festival?  Ever get lost in a corn maze?  You just don't know what you're missing.  Hop on over, kick back, and see if you ever want to leave.  Located just an hour from Atlanta where you can spend the day at Six Flags over Georgia, cool off at White Water, party at Underground Atlanta, or do nothing at all on the shores of Lake Lanier.  The weather here is great, job opportunities are plentiful, and real estate is affordable.  Just don't forget "Roberta Paul" when you're ready to relocate.

My kids and I hunt for corn mazes to visit in North Georgia every year...they're great, but I didn't know about the kangaroo conservatory!  I'll have to check that out.

Michelle,
The Kangaroo Conservation Center is definately worth the trip.  There's another really fun place you might consider on your way back to Athens called The Fathers House - Family Fun Center.  It's between the Conservation Center and Ga-400 just off of Ga-53.  I hope you and your family have a wonderful time in the area.  Thanks for commenting.

Roberta, you almost convince me about Dawsonville...but I can't help thinking Bosque Farms is the best place to live. Might consider a second place for Dawson County, if it's as nice as you make it sound :)
