Could it be that we are off to a great start?  Something good happened yesterday at the office ... we were busy!  Yep! January 2, 2009 was a busy day!

Well ... OK ... not 2005  "BUSY" ; but, busier than we have been in quite some time.  Regular people walking in the office to ask about real estate possiblities, other agents calling to set up showings of our listings, RE/MAX agents in their offices meeting buyers and sellers!  Yeah!  Real business going on! 

We definitely have a long way to go ... but this is a very good start!

Yep...I think that we'll see even more activity in the market as the Inauguration completes and the transfer of power takes place.  It's not that I think any President is going to do more than another but just the simple act of the transfer of power removes so much uncertainty that people decide to get on with their lives!!!

That is a very good sign, and I am hearing it more and more for all over the place.  I think it is a good sign.  We have been hearing for a long time about all the pent up demand, and the floodgates are eventually going to burst.

I've also have seen an increase in traffice. Also it is real Buyers and Sellers not just kicking the tires.

George - January has usually been a good month for us as well, so has December although this one was definitely not!

I got  to show the same listing THREE!!!! times today from sign calls, and I'm  showing one couple several other homes from the same sign!  One other call from a post card, and a referral for a listing from a current client!  We also put a multi-family property in escrow and wrote and offer on a single family home today!
