ON SATURDAY NIGHT I THREW A SURPISE PARTY FOR MY INCREDIBLE HUSBAND LOU! I have thrown parties for him in the past but the weather is always a worry. I had a party for him on his 40th and we had the worst ice storm I had ever remembered. I had food and drink for about 60 people and only about 30 were able to make it, if that many. I remember that afternoon well as I received call after call with people saying, very apologetically that they could not make it due to the weather. I swore the next time I threw him a party I would do it in July!! THAT WOULD REALLY SURPRISE HIM, WOULDN'T IT?
Well I decided to chance it again, only this time I enlisted the help of MAVIS WINKLE'S IRISH PUB IN INDEPENDENCE OHIO. They have what is called an ABC party...appetizer buffet, and cocktails. "Sounds good to me" I said and the only thing left was to order the cake and buy some decorations. I enlisted my best friend Laura to pick up the cake and candles so I could act like I was having a leisurely afternoon at home. Mavis Winkle's did a great job. The appetizers were hot and delicious and the staff was attentive.
Our daughter made a power point presentation that brought tears to his eyes! Thank you Erin.
I DO BELIEVE HE WAS SURPRISED. We had a fabulous party for a wonderful man who is the love of my life forever!!!
