Chesterfield residents know this one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Katy. Elegant mature trees and beautiful grand estate homes greet visitors. Well maintained yards, great schools and a great location have made many of the original homeowners (who purchased homes in the 80's) stay to this day. Most Katy residents and all Chesterfield homeowners know that this neighborhood is a jewel. Still they may not know a secret. A Chesterfield home is a wonderful investment.
In 2008 Houston faced the worst hurricane in years. Mortgage companies folded right and left. The stock market plunged. Almost any investment in 2008 was a bad investment.
However, owning a home in Chesterfield was a fantastic investment. In 2008 home prices in Chesterfield increased by over 7%. The average home in Chesterfield sold in only 26 days (a record). Home prices averages in Chesterfield have climbed to over $300,000 and the price per square foot has increased to over $86.
As a Chesterfield resident, I can attest to how wonderful this neighborhood. My family and I loved Chesterfield so much that we moved from one home in Chesterfield to another home within the neighborhoods friendly confines.
