DON'T LEAVE WEB LEADS HANGING

Agents with content-rich, user-friendly, targeted online sites find that it's easier to generate leads when they have privacy policies that assure Web visitors they can remain anonymous, and that contact information will not be shared with anyone else. The biggest problem agents encounter is a failure to quickly respond to leads, but many tools can be used to resolve this issue. We could work with a call center or use an in-office or virtual assistant to immediately respond to leads, or we could add an instant messaging feature to our Web sites. Another option is to use call-capturing services that collect contact information from callers so that a follow-up call or text message can be made. Auto-responders that immediately send out free reports, Web coupons and other information also are useful, as are click-to-talk systems that connect us to prospects right away.

Andrea, great points, we live in such an instant gratification society. If we do not respond in 15 -30 minutes I noticed we loose that prospect most of the time. In addition to your points. I have a Blackberry, where I can send a one or two liner that I will get back to them when I am done....

Andrea - I try to respond to leads within 1hours. It's sometimes hard to respond when you are with a client. I think most people understand that they won't get a response immediately.
