There are a bunch of bus lines that run between downtown DC and Penn Station in New York.  They are competitng, not only on really cheap fares and pretty reliable service, but these guys (DC2NY) have in-route WiFi that is really fast!  And I'm on the 9:30 departure (it did leave on time) to New York City to Bloggers Connect.

I went last year and loved it - it's always fun to meet the bloggers you love to read in person, and that will start this evening with a Beer with Bloggers get together sponsored by Zillow.  I've been looking forward to this for weeks now.

But last night, I felt like an organ donor waiting to happen and was thinking it would be prudent to stay home.  This morning, thanks to the intake of huge quantities of pomagranate juice and some drugs I scored from my neighbor, I feel a whole lot better.  I was hoping I had a 24-hour version of whatever bug is going around, and except that I lost my voice, the other symptoms have mostly run their course.

So I'm just north of Baltimore with just enough battery life to make it to Manhatten, the land of the world's best chicken soup!

I'll be just fine!

Oh Pat!  I'm so glad you're going!  I remember you were thre last year with Mr. Block!  Could you ask the "Gods" why they would roll out a system change on AR (with bugs of it's own) during Connect?  Seriously?!  Wow!  Glad you're feeling better!

Pat, glad you're feeling better and blogging away from the bus.  Sorry I couldn't join you this year, but at least I made it to your party.  Say hello to the posse for me.

That's a nasty looking bug.

I didn't realize pom -a - whatever juice was that good for you.  I hope you still have some of the drugs left!

Patricia,

Never thought pomegranate juice can really put you back on track, but as long as you feel this way, fine.

Now, that you sent there despite not feeling well, we at least will be getting the "freshest" news from the gathering

Hey, Pat,

Maybe have a good dose of cheese cake just to give the chicken soup an added boost.

Pat - By now you've had your chicken soup and beer and should be on the mend. I'm going to make this a priority next year. I just needed to focus on the new affiliation and due tot he holidays I put off a lot of tasks which I need to stick around and complete. Have fun!
