Tree Budding
The Home Shows are coming - YAY!!  And that means SPRING has arrived here in New Hampshire!!!

We are fortunate here where we live in Portsmouth New Hampshire because our location is perfect to get to just about anywhere - Boston, Portland Maine, Manchester, etc.  And that means we can easily get to any of the great Home Shows that take place around New Hampshire and Maine!  Love it!!

Dover Home Show

We were able to make it to one of the Spring Home Shows this weekend.  This one was in Dover New Hampshire, about 15 minutes north of us, and it was held in the Dover Arena.  This year's show was the 25th Portsmouth/Dover/Rochester Home Show.

We stopped and talked to a number of the vendors, and we always get some great ideas to bring back home.  This time around, we spoke at length to The Step Guys - they offer some beautiful pre-cast alternatives for steps and patios.  We looked at their display, and you'd have no idea that what we were looking at was pre-cast.  They were beautiful!

Dover Home Show

We also spent some time with the folks at Advanced Siding, Windows & Sunroom Company.  They had a beautiful display sunroom set up, and their windows were really nice.

I need some new windows on my porch....we might just be giving them a follow-up call.

Dover Home Show

Another company that impressed us was LaValley /Middleton Building Supply.  We stopped and talked to them about decks and decking materials.  We had already known about Trex Decking and Railing, but we had never heard about CorrectDeck materials.  Their decks looked really nice, and the CorrectDeck is basically NO maintenance - love that part.  And it looked beautiful, too.

Dover Home Show

If you have any work that needs to be done around your house, or are looking for inspiration for some ideas around your house to improve it or upgrade it, you might consider checking out some of the Home Shows around the area.  I always get some great ideas when I get to attend one.

If you're thinking about buying or selling a home here in the Portsmouth or Dover New Hampshire areas, I'd be very happy to help you out.  Being a REALTOR here in the New Hampshire Seacoast is one of the best jobs around - I LOVE what I do, and I'd love to show you how I might be able to help you out with your real estate needs!

Home Shows are a great place to learn about new products, both for your home and for gardening.  I really enjoy the displays that landscapers usually have at most Home Shows.

Hi Ines - thanks for your comments and feedback!  I don't think I've ever been to a Home Show where I didn't come away with some great info and some pretty nice give-aways, too.  I got some great flower seeds at this one, as well as the contacts I wrote about.

Nice job bringing all your content together about the area. The trees are a bit further along then I expected, I'll have to make the northern run pretty soon.

Joan - thanks for stopping by!  I love those 'as seen on TV items", too.

Thesa - my fiance loves them as much as I do, actually probably more so and he talks to more people than I do, too.  We get more info that way!

janeAnne - come for a visit and you'll love it!  Thanks for the feedback on the links!

Dan - thanks!!  Most of the trees in my own yard a bit further behind the one I took in that picture.  I'm closer to the water, and my plants and trees seem to lag behind other parts of town by as much as a week or two, even though it's just 2-3 miles difference.

Danny - I always walk away wishing I could do that stuff to my house, always without fail!

Thanks everyone for you great comments - very much appreciated!

TLW - What nice words - thank YOU!!!

Monika - I had a feeling you'd been to just a few motor home shows.  I suppose to some, those would count, actuallly to some those might even be more important than home shows.  ;-)

Monika - could be fun!  We do watch some of the Motor Home Shows on TV when they have them on HGTV or whatever channel they show them on - some of them are just amazing to see, and I bet in person they're really something to see.

I love going to the home shows here in New York, too.  They are always fun to wander through and get new ideas.  They have ours in early March here (I wish it was later when the weather was better).

Hi Christina - We actually are in an area where we get the chance to go to several large home shows, all within about a 45-60 minute drive.  Some are here in NH, Portland Maine, and Boston Mass.  And they are fun to go!

Thanks for reading and commenting!
