Arizona Fine Art Expo

What: See designers, painters, sketchers and sculptors at work. Demonstrations and workshops, fine wines and cuisine.

Arizona National Boat Show

Someone once said that Arizona is clearly a state of optimists, as we have more boats per capita than any other state -- despite having precious few natural bodies of water.  So it’s fitting, then, that the national boat show is in Phoenix.

What: See the latest in ski boats, cruisers, fishing boats, everything for boating.

When: January 21 - 25

Arizona National Horse Show

What: Arizona's largest livestock show. Exhibits and competitions.

When: January 2 - 4

Arizona Sun Circuit Quarter Horse Show

What: Presented by the Arizona Quarter Horse Association.

When: January 23 - 31

Automobiles of Arizona

What: Over 100 important and historically significant motor cars are presented for auction, bringing together some of the world’s finest vintage automobiles with some of the world’s most discerning collectors.

When: January 15, 16

How much: Admission to the auction is by catalog only which is available for $100 and admits two.

 

Barrett-Jackson Antique Auto Auction

What: Billed as the world's most valuable classic car auction.

When: January 11 - 18

Where: WestWorld in Scottsdale

 

Carefree Fine Arts and Wine Festival

What: Arts, crafts, entertainment, wine. Over 150 artists will have displays. This is one of Arizona's largest wine tasting events, featuring wines from Arizona, California, Australia, Germany, Austria, France and Italy.

Celebration of Fine Art

What: Scottsdale hosts over 100 artists from Arizona and elsewhere in its big white tents.

When: January 16 - March 29

Chandler Multicultural Festival

What: Food, music, dance, displays, storytellers and more.

When: January 17

Dove Valley Ranch Winter Fest

What: Arts and crafts by Arizona artisans.

When: January 9 - 11

Downtown Chandler Art Walk

What: Visit more than 40 artisans set up along the streets in front of the unique shops and cafes.

When: First Wednesday of the month

FBR Open Golf Tournament

What: In North Scottsdale the pro golfers will get together for the first PGA tournament of the year. The PGA FBR Open Golf Tournament, formerly known as the Phoenix Open. This tournament attracts some of the largest crowds of any PGA event.

Fairgrounds Antique Market

What: Dealers from all over the country display their unique and one-of-a-kind antiques.

What: The Fiesta Bowl is always one of the top four college football bowl games. There are other Fiesta Bowl events, such as a parade, associated with the game.

Kruse International Car Auction

Mesa Historic Home Tour

What: Each year the Mesa Historical Museum Guild and the Mesa Historic Preservation Office sponsors a historic home tour.

How much: Tickets are $25, and include admission to the historic homes, the Mesa Historical Museum, and a complimentary lunch at Maredeneley's Italian Bistro.

 

Movies at the Museum

What: Independent and classic cinema and documentaries relating to art, artists, and works on view in the Museum, usually followed by discussion.

Where: Phoenix Art Museum

How much: Free with paid museum admission. First come, first seated.

 

Music in the Garden

What: Enjoy afternoons surrounded by desert beauty and sounds of the Valley’s premier musicians.

How much: Tickets must be purchased. Ticket price includes admission to the garden.

 

Native American Arts Festival

What: More than 200 award-winning artists. Traditional and modern masterpieces, authentic foods, artist demonstrations and musical performances celebrating the cultural traditions of the Native Southwest.

Native Trails

What: A variety of Native American performers will present musical performances using traditional instruments. Native foods, arts, crafts, and jewelry.
