5 Comments on Affirmations!
This business in not rocket science. Just jot down all the names of everyone you know......everyone. Create a database and contact them.....in person...at parties...at events....on FACEBOOK. 3 times a month forever. Odds are you will first come up with 100 names....then with a whole day working on it and Googling names you should be able to get to 500. If you can get to 1000 you are set for life. The young have it hard as typically their piers do not have big money. By then end of this month have your database finished....as well as a plan on how to contact them for free or very very cheaply.
This business is all about relationships. If you have no relationships and everyone hates your guts, then hire someone that does have relationships and everyone loves. See, there is no way to lose at this game. Rock on....
I have a better idea. Rather than affirmations, get out and look at about 6 homes every day. Become an expert on the inventory. Schedule a CE every week. Learn your business and the skills with which to help a good buyer or seller when they come along.
Don't wait for things to happen. Make things happen.
Tim....I agree that it's all about relationships.....my challenge is that I am in a new city with a very small SOI. But I am inspired by your words! Thanks for the push...all the best in 2009!
Lenn.....a big advantage of starting in this slow time of year has been the excellent training opportunities offered by my brokerage. I do intend to make things happen and when they do, I'll be confident in the knowledge and expertise I have acquired. Have a great 2009!
Good for you! Instead of saying "I usta be ...". stand tall and proud and be the best real estate agent you can be.
