In August 2008 my office started an in-office competition. The PRIZE!!! A trip to KW Family Reunion in Orlando Florida, in February 2009! Hotel, airfare (from CANADA!!!), and of course the cost of Family Reunion covered!
The real kicker for me was that the one thing a realtor could do to be awarded with the single most amount of points, in one go was RECRUITING... amongst other things (i.e. covering floor duty, taking a listing, SELLING A LISTING, attending a KW Educational event, TEACHING a KW Educational event).
You may think, "That's impossible, with all the teams in my office, how could this be done?"
How could a realtor who hasn't been at KW for even a year win a trip to FAMILY REUNION!?
Sure we evened it out a bit, teams had to split their points, developments were limited to a maximum of 10 listings, and owners were not eligible.
Well, I did it... won the free trip! I can not wait to go!
The point really is that, as a new agent in KW, I joined and said... ‘Oh I'm not interested in PROFIT SHARE, I'm coming to KW because of the people and the culture and the way my spirit is filled every time I've come in the door!' Not just that I wasn't interested in Profit Share, because who'd turn their nose up at extra $$$, but sincerely I didn't feel comfortable as a new agent to go out and ‘try to recruit'. After all, what did I know?
Armed with the passion to travel for free in February and meet as many of you as humanly possible ~ I quickly GOT COMFORTABLE with ‘recruiting'! I put that in quotations, because really what I did was SHARE.
It's all I could do ~ And all I had to do.
I shared what a huge support my office was to me, and showed how it played a major role in my productivity and my mindset. With the utmost sincerity ~ Thank you Keller Williams Valley Realty, what a gift.

congrats on winning the trip and have fun
